TRAM adapts the service to the expected demand during the celebration of the Llum BCN light arts festival, organized by Institut de Cultura de Barcelona, which will take place from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 February in the Poblenou neighborhood. With the aim of facilitating sustainable mobility for people attending the festival, TRAM will reinforce the service in the following way:

  • On Friday, February 6, TRAM will maintain peak hour frequencies until 11:30 p.m., instead of until 9 p.m. as usual. That is, trams on line T4 will run every 8 minutes until 11:30 p.m. Line T5 will run every 16 minutes until 10 p.m.
  • On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 February, from 5:30 p.m., TRAM will reinforce service on line T4 with frequencies of 8 minutes until 11:30 p.m. At the same time, line T5 will have frequencies of 16 minutes until 11 p.m.

Outside the aforementioned time slots, the frequencies will be the usual ones.

In addition to adapting the service to the expected demand during the weekend, people attending Llum BCN will find practical information and a map of Poblenou with the festival locations in the tram ticket boxes and at the following stops: Verdaguer, Glòries, Ca l'Aranyó, Pere IV and Fluvià, from where they can plan their itineraries to visit the lighting installations by TRAM.
