TRAM has registered a total of 39,232,670 validations during 2025, an increase of 11.9% compared to the previous year and a historical record of trips in one year. By networks, Trambaix has registered 24,467,066 trips, an increase of 3.02% and Trambesòs 14,765,604 trips, a growth of 30.56% more than the previous year.

The day with most validations was April 30, with 94,385 trips on Trambaix and 53,871 on Trambesòs. As for the month with most validations, October stands out on Trambaix with 2,329,811 and May on Trambesòs with 1,381,245. If we add up the validations on both networks, October was the record month, with a total of 3,683,658 trips.

Increase in validations on weekdays and weekends

TRAM has recorded a growth in demand on both weekdays and holidays. In Trambaix, weekday trips have increased by 4.69 % compared to 2024, with a daily average of 80,966 validations, while on weekends the increase has been 9.04 %, with averages of 46,105 on Saturdays and 29,953 on Sundays. In Trambesòs, the growth has been especially significant, favored by the entry into service of the three new T4 stops at the end of 2024. Weekday trips have increased by 32.41% compared to 2024, with a daily average of 45,124 validations, while on weekends the increase has been 17.48 %, with averages of 34,040 on Saturdays and 25,642 on Sundays.

The T4 line grows by 28.33%

During the first calendar year of operation of the 1st phase of the tram connection via Diagonal, with the new stops from Glòries to Verdaguer inaugurated in November 2024, the T4 line has experienced an increase of 28.33%. From January to December 2025, 9,617,766 trips were recorded, compared to 7,494,658 in 2024.

Significant growth at TRAM interchanges

The stops with the most TRAM validations, Ernest Lluch and Glòries, have also registered significant growth in demand. Weekday validations at Ernest Lluch have increased by 6.2 % compared to 2024, with a daily average of 7,211 validations, while on weekends the increase has been 9.63 %, with averages of 4,454 on Saturdays and 3,125 on Sundays. The Glòries stop is consolidating itself as the major interchange on the Trambesòs network, with a 20.23 % increase in weekday trips and a daily average of 6,927 validations, and a 24.24 % growth on weekends, with averages of 5,238 on Saturdays and 3,979 on Sundays.

TRAM exceeds 500 million validations

Since the tram was put into operation in 2004, 532,918,918 trips have been made: 361,117,052 in Trambaix and 171,801,866 in Trambesòs. This history consolidates the relevance of the tram in sustainable mobility in the nine municipalities that it connects with in the metropolitan region of Barcelona.
