Once again this year TRAM has presented its Sustainability Report, the document that details its commitments in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility, which encompasses environmental, ethical and social issues and sustainable development during the year 2022. The 6th edition of this report includes the alignment of the CSR strategy with the Sustainable Development Goals as a public transport company.
In 2022 TRAM carried out a total of 57 social actions focused on three main areas – promoting equity and social inclusion, fostering coexistence and healthy living, and strengthening access to culture.
2022: a return to normal
According to Javier Pérez Fortea, President of TRAM during 2022, it was a year in which things returned to normal, with figures very similar to those of the pre-pandemic years, thanks to the public and the great TRAM team. Moreover, with this return to normal, TRAM achieved its highest ever user satisfaction survey score since the service was launched, with 8.4 out of 10.
Sustainable Development Goals
TRAM is a responsible company that aligns its development to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making them strategic objectives for the company. In 2020, TRAM’s Board of Directors approved the annual CSR Plan, which focuses on seven SDGs by setting specific objectives and actions.
During 2022, the company’s tramways were powered by 100% renewable energy sources and TRAM’s solar plant (located in the Trambaix depot) reported annual greenhouse gas emissions savings of 54 tonnes of CO₂ and 65 kg of SO₂.
