TRAM is kicking off the fifth edition of Art al TRAM and the third to bring urban art to the underground walls of the tram, with cultural platform Rebobinart. The stop getting renovated this year is Sant Martí de Provençals, on lines T5 and T6 of the Trambesòs network.

Catalan artist Elisa Capdevila has been chosen to paint the mural on the two walls inside the tram stop. With her realistic style, she will paint the more than 800 m2 of wall with stories sent in by tram users. Capdevila’s piece will be a tribute to public transport users, lives in the metropolitan city and the genuine daily activities of each passenger.

The artist, born in El Papiol and living in Barcelona, has shown great mastery of various techniques, ranging from painting on canvas to huge urban murals. She has used the latter technique in various cities in Catalonia and abroad, in Portugal, France, Italy and India, among others.

Tram riders can send in their stories as an audio or text message on WhatsApp to 682 93 38 95, by email to tram@tram.cat or by private message on official TRAM social media profiles.
